1st away kit (Aramis / Intecsea)
From R Grady, club Vice President:
Edward passed away peacefully on Thursday after a long and at times painful illness. I have known Edward for well over 40 years. As club bar steward at our club he used to welcome us back in after mini rugby with a half pint of bitter shandy. We progressed on to the hard stuff later… Over the decades he and his family have been great supporters of our club and Edward used to be a regular on the touchline every week.
The flag is half-mast at the club.
Woking RFC's place is now confirmed in the 2016 Carnival 7's being hosted by Streatham Croydon RFC. Games start at 10a.m with a tournament afterparty at the Clapham Grand. Transport to leave Camphill club 8a.m. All supporters welcome. For more details, see the Woking RFC facebook page or get in touch with Matthew Brennan.
The funeral of Phyllis takes place on Wednesday 8th June 14:40 at Woking Crematorium followed by a reception at Camphill Club, West Byfleet. All Woking RFC players/members are invited to attend and say goodbye to a much loved lady.
Camphill club in West Byfleet carries on it's great tradition of having some great bands on a Saturday night as well as a great selection of lagers/ciders/real ales for very reasonable prices. Come on down, you may even get lucky and have Ben Bremner buy your drinks all night ;).
Please note that despite the poor weather conditions lately, we are still training every Tuesday 7-9. Do make the effort to come down in a final push as we approach the end of the season.
Unfortunately the second team pitch has taken a hit due to the weather and training/games. Due to this, Thursday training is postponed until further notice. If you wish to keep active on a Thursday, Richard Grady recommends a very good Zumba class at Woking leisure centre.
As soon as training can be continued on a Thursday, a notice will be posted to let everybody know.
The Woking RFC AGM will be held on Saturday 6th April 2013 starting at 18:30 at the Camphill Club, West Byfleet. All are welcome to attend and have their say on how the club is run. Voting will also be held for the annual player awards at the end of the AGM.
