Club Captain's Update

With the first quarter of the season out of the way, here is the latest update from Club Captain Richard Grady:

I really enjoyed the fighting spirit and fight back on Saturday against Merton in the second half, we nearly did it. I think all admitted the first half tries that we conceded were scored too easily as poor technique and weak strength allowed the Merton players to shrug off the attempted tackles wide out. Good points and lots to work on. It was good to be in the changing room huddle at the end of the game and see everyone commit to get training this Tuesday. Lee is in Lebanon and his body deserves a rest, playing with a recently dislocated shoulder injury is very painful I speak with experience! All those of us currently injured please keep up your rehab to get back playing as soon as possible. Our rehab physio will be down on Tuesday to help with your rehab. This week sees the 1s have a recovery week. If we can get a game for the 2s/3s we will. Remember this Saturday coming the social committee has organised televising the England match, fireworks at the club in the evening and a cracking band. Please bring your family and friends down to enjoy the day and evening. Tour details to Bristol to be shared with you all in a few days, Fat Boys 30 oz. Steak night on Sat. 24th Nov. at the club and Christmas Curry at the new New Haweli 15th December. Positive developments on and off the pitch. RG.
