Club Captain’s weekly communication

Great results for the home nations in the 6 nations this weekend. I hope you all enjoyed it?

It was a shame we didn’t get some opposition to play against ourselves – and win. That would have been the icing on the cake. Great to see those of you who could make it to watch the games at the club and stay around for a couple of beers.

This weekend we have 2 league games: 1s at home vs Old Caterhamians and 2s away (again!) to Old Freemen.

But we start the week on Tuesday when Chris Dodd RFU coach is back with us to lead a session. The last session was enjoyed by those who attended. Please commit to get there juggling your other commitments. Let’s carry on the excellent recent fielding of 2 sides each week do all you can to be fit and available to play for the 1s or 2s.

Commiserations to Aitch, yet another irritating injury we all wish you a speedy recovery.

The Chairman and I continue to meet prospective coaches this week which we home will lead to an appointment soon.

The tour gains momentum. Please pay your fees into the account ASAP and get in contact with Neal Otter if you have any queries.

Matt Armstrong heads the leader board in advance of the pub golf next Saturday. Please sign up and pay your green fees!!
